I · Story

A 145-year-old recipe. Baked since 1994.

  1. 1856

    The first spa wafers are baked in Karlovy Vary and served warm from the oven.

  2. 1881

    The recipe is recorded in Marie B. Svobodová's "Cooking School".

  3. 1994

    JIPO-CZ begins baking in Hodonín — at first three varieties for a small group of customers.

  4. Today

    We export to Germany, the USA, Slovakia, Austria, the UAE and Australia.

JIPO-CZ was founded at the end of 1994 with a simple goal — to bake spa wafers the way our forebears did. The chapter on baked goods from the 1881 Cooking School was our blueprint.

We started with three varieties and a small group of customers. Today we distribute throughout the Czech Republic — especially to spa towns, where our wafers are a traditional gift for tourists from home and abroad.

Two crisp wafers baked together with a creamy filling and cut into rectangles. A heartier bite, the same century-old recipe.
